Hello Larry. This is the welcome forum so not sure how much help you would find here. So let me ask, why did you figure it was the ecu giving you problems to begin with?

Welcome to the forum and here is the first place most go when you get the cranks but doesn't start problem:

Cranks OK, but No Start Checklist for Fuel Injected Mustangs

Cranks OK, but No Start Checklist for Fuel Injected 5.0 Mustangs model years 1986-1995 A word about this checklist before you start: it is arranged in a specific order to put the most likely failure items first. That will save you time, energy and money. Start at the top of the list and work...

I am with 89ripper on how you determined the ECU's are going out. Really need to know what is going on with the ECU as that can allow working backwards to find the issue.

Sounds like you have some electrical gremlins, do what Aero suggested and get a tech manual
