Car wont start...need assistance

I found out the problem, the negative wire is bad, it keeps giving a short. I am having the wires replaced tomorrow. Will the factory wires works just as well, or should i get thicker wires?

Whatever is quickest to pick up...Won't really make a whole lot of difference getting thicker wires.

Had the car say up any length of time? Mine will run down if it sits for more than 3-4 days.

If the alternator is bad you would notice a problem while it is running.

sounds like you have a short as well... or need a new batt.
my mustang can sit for months w/ out any battery issues. a 99 mustang w/ factory batt.
