Well I let it sit for about 2 hours with the battery connected while I took the 89 out to dinner with the fam to clear the ECU. Came back with some contact cleaner and sprayed a crapload of it into the MAF element. That worked alot better than alcohol did
Reconnected the battery and the MAF and started her up, idle bounced for a second and evened off. Runs stoich now 
Now that I've wasted 3/4 of the day on the mechanics of the car I'm going to focus on aesthetics tomorrow like I meant to today
