Carb spacer + auto trans kickdown

hi guys, i have a 1/2 carb spacer and the kickdown doesn't reach, do I need a new one or is there some sort of attatchment I can get. By the way this is on a 351c weiand x celerator manifold with a holley street avenger, a 4180 carb I think?

I just added an extension..about an inch long.. to the stock kickdown rod. Made it out of a piece of flat aluminum stock.
