im wanting to put a v8 in my 93 coupe and i finally decided to go carbed. can i use my existing electric fuel pump? if so, do i need a fuel pressure regulator?? also, what is the best donor car for a throttle cable? and aside from a v8 t5 and an 8.8, are there any other mods that are absolutely necessary for a v8 swap? i figured suspension and brakes would be a good idea down the road but i know theyre not needed for the swap.

You will need to get a different fuel pump because the fuel injected pump has to much pressure, '85 and older cars have the cable!

I have heard of people running the stocker with a fuel pressure regulator but never did it myself. as said above, way too much pressure for a carb. holley makes several different kinds. all of which are out of tank pumps I believe. you'll need a new fuel pick up like this--

Go with the Holley blue pump, no need to waste money on the pickup, remove the stock unit from the tank, take the fuel pump out of the assembly then run a rubber hose in place of the pump, just make sure its long enough to reach the bottom of the tank.
