what was left of the clutch disc... basically nothing

so this is what happens when god decides ur having too much fun lol

ya there is actually a dent in the bottom of the tunnel/floorpan where it hit. it was very close.

ya i wish but no i just picked up a used stock one because i have no money. i dnt think my cf df clutch will come apart like that under stockish power...

well i was doin around 5k in 2nd lol. just got a water pump, harmonic balancer and distributor put in. celebratory burnout, got em spinning good and let go of the brake and shortly after a grenade went off. i noticed the bearing retainer was broke. i almost wonder if that broke locked up the tranny and the motor wanted to keep spinning so boom. its hard to tell because everything is ****ed pretty much lol. the trans was already needing a rebuild. 2nd n 3rd would grind n it didnt want to downshift to 2nd etc. i actually had the clutch and tranny already just waiting for a good time to put them in. figured id do it when i wasnt driving it. then this happened

If you can't afford a scattersheild, you can weld or bolt a 5" wide metal plate (1/8"-"1/4 thick) around the top of the trans tunnel on the same plane as the clutch assy. Would give a little extra protection for if this ever happens again.
