So was the water pump turning or not? If it wasn't pumping and you drove it anyway..... pray a simple belt replacement doesn't turn into a costly headgasket replacement too. Why do so many fella's insist on driving their car when something breaks and it starts getting hot? Even a two mile drive while it's hot is too far.
