Carroll is selling another of his personal cars?

Has anyone seen this over at Mustang Monthly? This is the first I've heard anything about it.

Looks like Carrolls 69 GT500 is going up for auction. Thats pretty cool, I wonder if this one will set some sort of record for a Mustang?
Take a look at the engine pic... notice that the block and heads are red and it has a T-pan? Interesting.

I didn't know he ever owned one of the Shelby Mustangs.

Common knowlege was that he only personally owned his original260Cobra, andhad use of many "company" cars.

By 1969, the Shelby Mustangs were Ford only, and the old grump had washed his hands of them.

If I am wrong, I stand corrected.

Thats what i thought also. And if i am not wrong he fought to keep the cobra name in his hands shortly after.

i remember reading an article several years ago about a red 69 gt500 with 68 10 spokes and an electric fuel pump and some other oddball stuff that was his personal car. i'm guessing this is that car.

He had his "personal" 69 on display at the Imperial Palace years ago with a few of his other cars.
