cars making new sounds

ok went to myrtle beach for beach week and while i was there my car started making some wierd noises. when it gets hot out and i turn the it makes a groaning/ticking sound, but only when its hot outside. i think that might be my p/s pump because its starting to whine alittle bit but has plenty of fluid. also sometimes at WOT theres this ticking noise coming i think from under the car but not sure..thinkin maybe loose exhaust bolt or something. this sound also comes and goes but its really startin to piss me off and making want this lx fox settin down the road for 6k any ideas what these sounds are coming from?

the ticking could either be detonation or a loose heat shield on one of the cats. when the cars cool crawl under there and try to wiggle the shields, if any are loose u can either put a big hose clamp on them or just rip em off.


if its detonation u can try running a higher grade fuel, check timing, clean MAF
