OK, I admit when I saw people buying these and putting them on their car, I thought, FTH???

Now I know. I just had the Bullitt suspension package installed and my castor is a bit out and camber on a far end. I need to buy something that will permit an adjustment to be made during a wheel alignment.

Any recommendations, links? Anything I should steer clear of?

Thanks!

I like my UPR 4 bolts just fine. Though this is one product that they sell that is pretty much the same price as any other company.

dont skimp, go with the MM kit. its worth it to pay the extra 30-40 for a part you dont have to worry about. instructions are super easy to follow too

I prefer my Steeda due the difference in weight and quality and strength of materials used in their construction. Research it for the best results.

I have the Maximum Motorsports 4 holers. You will have to drill the 4th hole but it is well worth the expense. I wore out a set of fronts with the stock CC plates.

MM here as well. I liked them so much when I installed them on my 90 LX Coupe, that I bought another set for my 04 GT.

Thank you all for your replies.
Both the Steeda & MM were approx. the same price.
I went with Steeda for not having to drill & having lighter parts.
Both looked very strong.

Thanks again.

At the risk of being flamed, can someone tell me what the caster/camber plates do? In laymens terms please.

Thanks

No flames here...

They allow greater adjustment on a car with aftermarket lowering springs. Mine has Steeda Sports which are supposed to drop it about 1.5 inches but my toe was adjusted as far out as possible with the stock CC plates. I wore out two new tires. Once I put the aftermarket plates on the toe and camber can be adjusted to allow for the lowered suspension.

Would they benefit stock suspension?

Not really since the stock plates have enough adjustment to keep the front end aligned. The aftermarket ones allow for greater adjustability since the lowered cars geometry throws the camber and toe out of range of the stock plates max setting.

FYI, you don't need caster/camber plates to adjust toe

caster/camber plates adjust, you guessed it, caster and camber. when you lower a vehicle (in this case our Mustangs) more than 1.25 inches it throws off the factory alignment to a point where it can no longer be adjusted (to within spec) using factory parts

and before you ask...

Kelso, I didn't know why people used them either. What I can tell you is my kit only lowered me by 1 inch and I am out of alignment spec and cannot get a perfect adjust w/o these plates.

I'm also under the impression that with stock plates, there is not adjustment available with camber!

In the end, if you lower a car, even an inch, you may need them to prevent uneven tire wear and it will ensure you can achieve a perfect wheel alignment.
