hey guys, here it goes. i have 2000 gt and want to get a cat back, thinking of a magnaflow, but i dont know if i should get the magnapacks, or the regular one. i dont want too much noise, but i am going to keep stock x pipe and cats, wiil the regular magnaflow be too much like the stock pipe with tha cats? i ahve been listening on youtube but alot of those guys have modded x pipes, another question does anyone have slp powerflow, i htink the loudmouth will be too much, i kinda like those too, i just want a nice deep tone nothing abnoxios, cheers.

I would go with the regular Magnaflow catback exhaust.
It has a nice deep tone at idle and is somewhat quiet
until you go WOT then it will scream.Overall the regular
Magnaflow catback sounds like it is ideal for you.The
stainless steel construction is really good quality and
will last a long time. The nice tips that come with the
Magnaflow catbacks really compliment the exhaust system.
The SLP catbacks make nothing but loud noise and are
quite annoying.Kind of sound like a tactor to me with no
real sound to them and sound like arse I think.
I can't belive folks in the mustang community would actually
put a GM part on their mustang (SLP).

Exhaust is very subjective. What is 'loud' for one may be 'perfect' for someone else.

With that said, I love the sound volume and tone of the Magnapacks. With the stock midpipe, you might get accustomed to it fast and may want more sound sooner or later.

I never had the magnaflows but did have the SLP powerflos. The Powerflos sound awesome. They have a real deep tone to them and not that loud compared to there LMIs and LMIIs. Have a nice aggressive sound to when you get on it. I think those will sound real good with your stock mid pipe.

As far as ALL SLP sounding like a tractor, No, they do not. Not even close. The only SLP that sounds like that is the LMIs only with an o/r mid pipe. Other then that, the other two catbacks(LMIIs and PowerFlos) sound awesome with both stock mid pipe and aftermarket.
