I want to add a mid pipe to my 02 GT. Did the Flow American Thunder Cat Back last weekend. There are no emmisions tests in my state, so should I go O/R or high flow cats? And the eternal question, H or X pipe and which brand?

Since u already have flows go with the dr. gas o/r x. It sounds wicked above 3000 like nascar and below 3000 like an h pipe.
Flows + Dr. gas =

1. dr. gas o/r x
2. o/r h-pipe

cats cost money that can be spent on more mods.

Thanks for the replies

An X pipe it will be, I think. Dr. Gas sounds like the way to go, but I have read many posts about it needing to be welded in place in numerous parts. Not a problem for me to a large degree,as I have access to friends who are expert welders. But no lift and I do my stuff with a floor jack and stands.

Could do a vendor install, but at least half the fun is doing it myself. I have the tools and technology. And it is way cheaper. So.... ideas, advice and/or comments on this? Thanks

I don't think the welding will be a real issure. test fit, tack weld, pull it, weld it, install it. take 2hrs instead of 45min. I stayed away becasue I wanted stainless. vrs has a stainless pipe cheaper than the dr. gas. it is supposed to be the best pipe for hp though.

Thanks

Again, thanks for the experienced advice and replies. I will most likely do the Dr. Gas. Now... that she breaths better on exhale, what do you recommend on the inhale? I did the K&N filter in the stock config, but I know this is not much. I wil stay N/A, as this is technically the wifes daily driver (and yes she is hot and owned many (@#Corvettes), including a 66-427(435 horse) and a 74-454.

Thanks

I have the upr x-pipe and it sounds awesome and the price is right. As for air intake, I have a densecharger t/b tube, 70mm t/b and a upr big mouth filter.

I have the SLP catted x-pipe and catback. It is loud when you are getting on it around 3k rpms. The Quality is 1st Class all stainless construction and the 3.5 tips are awsome.

Intake tube, 70mmTB, pleneum, MAF. All you need for at LEAST 15-20rwhp. You'll really feel this stuff. This is genuine horsepower. Do it all together though, b/c you'll barely feel it if you add this stuff one at a time.

Shifter

Also want to add a decent shifter. Tri Ax? Rousch? What is the best way to go and is the install difficult?

Thanks
