Generallly speaking, the more open an exhaust is, the better an engine will breathe. This can free up some ponies, but usually a little low end torque will be lost. Oh, and by the way - SC's dont use wastegates - thats for turbo's. We have Blow off valves, and they open when the throttle body is closed, allowing a place for the boosted air to exit your piping.

Although Flowmasters sound awesome on stangs, they are in reality one of the poorest flowing designs. MAgnaflows seem to be the best for the 03' right nowjester805 said:Cool...thanks for the info. I would suggest that an X or Hpipe and catback would be better than that stocker for sure.
