catted X or H pipe input needed

I need some advice from owners of after market high flow catted mid pipes. X or H? cats have to have the air pump fittings, 2.5 inch pipe dia; aluminized steel is ok. They will be hooked up to a Flowmaster 3 chamber 2.5 dia cat back system and the stock/shorty header cone type connection up front. Brand, fittment, supplier and overall satisfaction is important info for me as well. Thanks for your help!

I ran a Bassani Stainless X in my '87 LX, my cousin currently owns the car and still runs it. The pipe lends an interesting sound to the exhaust, allows for great flow and quiets down noise.

If you're running stock headers, though, you will see a loss in low end power, so I would run an H with stock headers (I've run both on the same engine with stock headers). If you are willing to step up to a 1 5/8" shorty, such as the Ford Racing shorty, I would recommend the X-Pipe all the way.

In theory Xs are better for high engine speeds where as when the exhaust is flying quickly through the H the union will be bypassed. I run an H on my car and I have no issue with it. I think I may get an X in the future to see if there is an acutal difference.
