ccrm pin 17 grounding URGENT!!!!

95 mustang gt
runs hot with the a/c on and no high speed fan
high speed only when it wants to

Do I ground the wire coming out of the ccrm or the wire from the harness side
also when i ground it will it mess anything up like turning on the low speed also and burning up the motor or will it just turn on the high speed

will there be any negative effects?????!

i am willing to do it only if it won't hurt anything at all

Calm down....

Check the engine coolant temp sensor first it may be bad and not sending the correct signal to the eec to turn on the fan.

IF we are not fast enough for you there is a search function and this topic will surely pop up in a search with very detailed inst.

Its a band-aid fix with the manual fan switch...it works but dont plan on having it forever. It can cause the fan to wear out faster, and can cause power to drain from a batt.

I ran the wire to a switch and grounded the switch, when the switch made a circ. it would ground the wire and force the high speed fan on. I tapped the wire at the harness were it plugs into the ccrm.

Your welcome...
