CD slave unit removal

Hey you stereo experts....how do you pull out the factory cd unit? I see there are two holes on each side of it, do you stick something in those holes to release it to slide out?

Yep, there is a special tool just for this. I've used a bent up metal coathanger before. I'd use a couple of small "jewelers" screwdrivers to do it if I had to now.

You just have to push it into the 2 holes on one side to release that side. If you are able to do all 4 at the same time, all the better. But you can do it one side at a time. Just make sure that after releasing one side and going on to the other, you don't let the released side slip back in. It will want to on it's own.
