Well, I went through a Valeo King Cobra kit in like 2 months. I know I drive my car hard, as well as WFO 1/4 mile runs evry now and then...ok, like 5 or 6 runs sometimes, no cooldown, but man I thought the HD clutch would stand up better than it did.

Anyway between my mechanic, his friends and co-workers, and my own research, we just today ordered a Dual Friction Part # DF920830 clutch kit and t.o.b.

If you KNOW anything about 'em, I would be in your debt to hear your thoughts/experiences.

Thanks again guys.

Thanks bdcardinal...I presume you mean the clutch hooked up fine, but the tires didn't?

NO! Please, tell me what you know. That sounds like it could be fun for my son and I.

My old Cobra is not in show condition, does that matter?

Appreciate any further info my friend!

I've been happy with mine. Had it for over a year with about 6k miles. Had the trans out last month, and the clutch is holding up just fine. Everything looked good, but a few burn spots on the flywheel. I drive the car hard and the clutch never skips a beat, but be prepared for a little stiffer clutch pedal. Don't forget to upgrade the clutch cable, quadrant, and get a firewall adjuster.

I take it it's hard on the plastic quad?

I can see replacing the cable also, but why do you need a firewall adjustor?

I AM a dumba$$. Just ask my wife.

they dont care about show condition, just a bunch of cobra owners having a good time. there were like 84 cars total there last time, and i think 60 of them were 03/04 cobras from all over SOCal. im looking for that right black/black leather 98 cobra to buy. i forget the exact time that they meet, but the first one, my buddy got there early in the mystichrome and got the pleasant experience of hearing 60+ modded cobras pull in and park all around him.

the CF DF is a nice clutch. I had it with a tremec 3550 in my 94 and powershifted the hell out of it for a couple years with no signs of giving up. I want that for my 04GT when I need to replace it probably next year. a good firewall adjustable cable set is a wise investment as well.

I got my centerforce d f from a friend of mine. He said it will probably be the last clutch i'll ever need. Supposed to withstand a ton of abuse. And my pedal feels like a stock clutch.

I love it so far
