CFM flow rating question

If you want to keep the GT40 for some reason, it's needs a full on port of the lower - that will put it at ~250cfm which is still a little shy of the ~275cfm flow potential of those heads, but if your not chasing peak power it should work well. I'd ruin no less than a 70mm TB which is the size of the GT40 upper TB hole.
 
I'm a big gt40 tubular intake fan, but realistically if you want max power with a 331 with afr 185's that's not the intake for you.

Consider an rpmII, 75mm TB and a bigger meter. All of which could be funded by the sale of your parts, so out of pocket isn't too bad.

How much power did you make? I'm guessing you know since you are aware of a bottleneck.
 
beautiful car Markus! And Tmoss and 2000xp8 have it right. If you start bolting on some bigger power items though you might want to think about upgrading to 30 lb injectors too, but that's obviously dependent on what kind of numbers you're putting out and how much load is on them.

I know, the intake AND the tb are a bottle neck for the engine.:notnice:
But i would NEVER put another intake on the motor. I love it so much:rlaugh:
The look and the torque it made is awesome.
The engine make 360 DIN PS (DIN 70020) @ 4700rpm and 420 ft lbs @ 4500 rpm. The car runs very strong but a little torque and a pair of horses are hidden in the intake area. :shrug:
I´m a big friend of torque. Horsepower is secondary.
The 24 pounder running on wot with 80-85 percent duty cycle with 50 psi fuel pressure. That is not so good.
I have a 70mm accufab tb and a set 30 pounder lying in my garage the only thing i´m missing is a tmoss ported lower :D
But at the moment my wallet have a big vacuum :jaw:
Again to my question. Do the 65mm tb outflow the tubular intake or is it converse:shrug:
Would i get a benefit with only the 70mm accufab before i afford the tmoss lower intake.
