Since I am a newbie and going for my first cold air intake on my stock 02, I was wondering if anyone new the stock cfm flow rating for da throttle body. Guy who wants to sell me a new CA intake suggested an unpgrade.... I simply wanted to get the opinion and if it was a must or just waste. The only other mod I plan in the future is exhaust and thats it. Any suggestions?

by my numbers a gt at 260fwhp is pulling a little less than 130cfm

So do I need to change my plenum and throttle body?
Mass air 85 mm, 75 mm T/B...

"Do" is the word there, you don't have to if you get a cai but it doesn't hurt.

remember changing out some tbodys and definitely mafs need a tuner

Let me ask you another question ....
Stock GT 02, CAI, what do you recommend?
Only other mod I would consider is exhaust....in a perfect world straight out motor out to the bumber but we both know the law is against it. Just want more air in and more out the back.

The stock cat back flows well and the gains from aftermarket cat backs/mufflers are minimal. If you change that part, change it for sound.
Long tube headers with an offroad mid pipe will flow the best and give the most power, but it is very difficult to install and very expensive if you can't do it yourself.
You can see pretty good gains with just a mid pipe. An offroad pipe will add plenty of volume and the most power, but of course we all know it is for track only use. That's the cheapest power you can add to the 4.6. A catted mid pipe will cost a bunch more and may be down ~5hp compared to the offroad varient.

i really loved the steeda cai i had on my GT, Very high quality, It only got better when i added an accufab 75mm and c&l upper plenum. I gave them all to my brother for his GT after mine was totaled...
