Challenger r/t redlines at 5800 rpms...

...or something like that. I was told that if you red-line a challenger, the engine drops down to 3500 rpms. Is this true? Why the heck would it do that?


Annnybody know? Seems like it would only do that in a manual maybe, idk, the challenger in question is an automatic sooo, yeah idk.

Its probably a factory govern. feature. I'm sure there will some type of tunner to stop that though if thats what it is?...
