I am trying to quiet my car down a bit.................:nonono:
damn LMI get me in trouble whit the low:mad:

If you want a good chambered muffler, I would suggest MAC Flowpaths. They sound similar to Flowmasters, but a little deeper tone.

Otherwise, I suggest Bassani's. They are kind of a cross between chambered mufflers and straight thru mufflers. I have a couple of sound clips in my sig.

i like the sound of my flowmasters, but they are way to quite for my taste. but i want to see how that changes when i get my o/r pipe by the end of summer

Heres my sound clips:

o/r prochamber and flowmasters http://media.putfile.com/Flows-and-prochamber

o/r H and Flowmasters http://media.putfile.com/Flows-and-OR-Pipe---92

Mac Catted H and flowmasters (its alot quieter in person.. it sounds stock) http://media.putfile.com/in-car-67

Drive by with Mac H and Flows- I leave @ 36 seconds in and you hear me return @ 1:50.. notice how quickly you stop hearing my car.. meaning its quiet lol. I want to be heard flow from my house. http://media.putfile.com/drive-By-72

mac catted h And flowpats revving the piss out of it http://media.putfile.com/Mac-CAttedMac-Catback

OVERALL

Tone-
Flowmasters 10/10
Mac 8/10

Loudness-
Flowmasters 3.8/10
Macs- 10/10

Uniquness-
Flows- 3/10
Macs-10/10

If flows had more loudness than i would never switch mufflers. The only way ill keep flowmasters is if im pushing like 350+hp which means i have more air flowing out of my exhaust making the flows way louder. My little 190-200HP and nonpi heads cant make it. :notnice:

If you want to tone down your exhaust note a bit, chambered mufflers aren't the way to do it. Sure, they may be a little more subtle at idle, but they're still loud at WOT and the highway drone is nearly unbearable.

If you want a queit muffler, go with a set of Dynomax or Borla Turbo's.

^^ if he wants quiet than i suggest he gets flowmaster 40 series mufflers and put a stock h pipe or hi flow catted midpipe.

That setup is quiet as ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s still gonna get lots of highway drone. It's unavoidable with 40-series Flows or Mac Flowpaths. If they were 50-series, it wouldn't be quieter, and running an X-pipe might lessen it, but droning is inheriting trait with either of these model mufflers.

LM1 are just resonators, if I remember correctly. Slap some LM2's or Magnapacks on there and it'll sound REALLY good!

I love the sound of my O/R X (clamshell) with the magnapacks.

Mac's FTW, Flow FTL!!!! You get 10x more compliments from my experience and they dont rust as fast as flows from the inside! DuraBlk Coating FTMFW lol! I had both :p

Mac's make the stang sound more raw then flows! More like a true old school

This post is 1000000000% the truth. I have so many pictures to prove it, and maybe even a few videos.
