Champion fiberglass Hoods?

Im thinkin the next thing im gonna get is a 2 1/2 to 3 inch cobra r hood.I was wondering what is the quality of a champion fiberglass hood and how does it fit

Who? Champion? Never heard of them.

If you want a good fiberglass hood, look at Steeda and Cervini. They aren' the cheapest, but the extra money to buy them will save you tons on making it right. Cheap fiberglass hoods often need a lot of work to make them right. I've had both Steeda and Cervini hoods and I've seen lots of others and Steeda and Cervini are the best I've seen yet.

yup agree. I have 2 Cervini hoods and no body work was required. Just scratch and shoot.

Unless I'm mistaken, Champion Fiberglass is just Cincinatti Composities with a different name. Really crappy finished, poorly fitting hoods if they are indeed the same company. You get what you pay for when it comes to fiberglass hoods.

I dont think Champion and Cincinatti composties are one in the same. I have a Champion hood and I am happy with it. Its the Cobra R and It fits fine, very sturdy, finished underliner. There were 2 small surface imperfections that were easily fixed and the body man didnt have any troubles prepping it at all. Its currently primered on the car waiting for paint in Aug. For the price I am very happy with it. 340.00 shipped to my door and it arrived in 2 days from OH to TX. I did have to elongate the bolt holes on the hood latch about 1/4 inch as the fiberglass casting was shorter than stock but it was easily done with a dremel and 20 min of my time.

Champion Fiberglass Products

They sell on E-bay under championfg with over a 99% possitive feedback. http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=championfg&ssPageName=STRK:ME:UFS I have used there hoods in the past with no problems. Bottom line If you can afford a Cervinis get a Cervinis. If your on a budget give Champion a chance.

My cousin (UnderPressureGT) bought his 5'' hood from Champion Fiberglass for $500 which is LOCATED in FLORIDA. He ordered it straight from Champion. It is an awesome Cowl hood that came w/ excellent quality. I am most likely going to get my hood from them in the future.

Not to hijack but, I was considering an abcexclusive hood because they are close to home so i can save the freight charge. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about them?

http://www.cincinnaticomposites.com/index.html seems to be gone. Hmmm...... wonder why that might be? Could it be bad service? Poor products? Try googling Cincinnati Composties and look at all the people biching about their products and service.

I had a Cervini's cowl hood prioir to the Champion Fiberglass cobra r hood I've got now. There were NO fitment issues with either hood nor did the body shop who painted them have any issues with quality of the hood. Champion's product is in my book. Plus, when my brother in law and I went to pick it up, he bought a saleen stlye spoiler off of them for $150 while we were there. Good fit on it too!

I have a buddy that has an ABC cowl hood. It looks nice, fits nice and he has no complaints. He has bought from them in the past and said he was happy. I talked to the guy who painted his hood and they have had some bubbling issues after it was painted and put in the heat of the TX sun. It is the paint guys opinion that he painted it too soon after getting it. When I bought my Champion hood, they say to put it on the car unprepped for a while and let the heat further cure the gel coat. I had mine on for about 2 months before it was primered and have no issues.

I have a cervini's 95 cobra R hood and it is perfect. I wouldn't buy anything except cervini's. I'll pay the extra money to get quality!

I agree, Cervini's service is awesome, I got my cobra rear bumper from them a few months ago, and it is awesome, the extra cash for shipping and handling can be a little expensive, but if you want good quality, get their products. The ONLY thing that bothers me is that I never knew they were in Jersey, so I ordered my bumper through THE-HOT-ROD-SHOP in Clifton, 20 minutes from my house, and payed outrageous shipping on a UPS truck, the bumper costed $250, I wound up paying $380 for it because of $20 for tax and $110 for shipping, the box was over-sized so the bumper wouldn't get any damage which is why it was so much, but a day after I got it, looked at the Cervini logo on the side of the box, said VINELAND, NJ, I was so mad, could have just drove an hour to there and picked it up myself for $250, but I guess stuff happens and either way, I made out w/ an awesome looking and awesome quality cobra rear bumper.
