So I drive my Fox. Pretty much daily, but it's not my only car. It's a semi-built 80's non-roller 306. P heads, SystemMax 2 intake, Novo 1000, Etc. Etc. Pretty common set up... or boring set up. I'm not trying to be the fastest. Low 1/4 times is not my goal. I like having a "cool" car.

So I am thinking of going with a top mount Twin screw/roots Supercharger. B8t I'm not sure where to start...I much prefer fuel injection, but it just seems right to go carb with this type of set up.

Anyone here running a top mount supercharger?

@a91what is building a m112 for his vert but it's a hybrid, he is also a tuner guru around here. I would think keeping it efi would be the way to go just cause it's efi now and I think it would be easier than converting a bunch of stuff, but hey, what do I know.

Hello, it's not as difficult as one would think, I decided to go the custom route because I do budget builds. I also make my own parts (Well as many as possible).

Let me know your plan/ideas and how much effort or diy ability you can put tward the effort.

100% DIY is always my goal. But sometimes making it myself comes out to twice the price of finding a good used item. I buy tools and equipment before I buy parts.

I have a Mill, Lathe, MIG and TIG welder, and a few other cool tools to work with.

But I don't see much needing to be made...

I wish I had that much to work with, I'm in the stone age comparatively.
Here is the general idea for my current build, I have a lot more done at this point but don't have access to the photos at the moment.
This total with the edis8 swap will cost 800$ maybe less depending on how much of my old build (m90) sells.

Your options are
1. Try to find an old KB 1.5, 1.7, 2.1 for sale, and if you do expect to pay an obscene ammount
2. Go carb and do it
3. If you have mad skills like @a91what , then use your imagination

If you can find a Flowzilla 2.1/2.2 then I think you would have what you're looking for.

All of the Windsor twin screws are gone. Still the best street blower out there IMO.

Weiand has the next closest thing available but it's for carb and not worth an intake throttle body kit/conversion.

Could run an elbow to the top and put injector bungs in the lower intake. Then it would be EFI. ...and it'll keep all that fuel from spinning in that blower. More efficiency could be found for sure.

I couldn't do it. lol

I'd have to have some portion of that blower or a tunnel ram, popping through the hood.

Lol, 4150 throttle body.... still drill it for injectors. Carb look with efi benefits.

Wouldn't the fuel going through the blower via the carb be a cooling effect like meth injection?

BTW, @a91what , the 1.5L was sold not too long ago I did, however, find somebody selling an intercooled 2.1L KB Flowzilla not too long ago (didn't buy it though)

I have no idea...

Guess it kinda would....but people used to have problems with fuel igniting in the blower with back fires...I know that.

Ummmm... I was thinking' that maybe the fuel took up space in the blowers air charge...reducing the output by some miniscule amount that you'd never feel.

Could always run the air intake through an AC evaporator to make the air going in the blower about 34 degrees. Could use an electric compressor like newer cars. ( no draw on the belt )...but that would put a draw on the charging system...maybe.

You could also use two evaporators so the cabin could be cooled by the same system.....
