I have a problem with my odometer since I had the car a couple years now. it turns off and on whenever it wants. always keeps track of the miles but just turns off and on. only the digital mileage display. everything else works.

my question is if I were to purchase a used set of gauges off ebay, would the mileage change or does the computer in the car know what to tell the gauges for mileage. unless someone knows what the problem might be it looks like thats what I'm gonna have to do because emissions wont test the car without seeing the miles on the odometer.

I have a set of stock gauges out of my 02GT. I bought 01 Bullitt style gauges a couple of yrs ago. There's a white curcuit board that sits behind the gauge head. All you have to do is flip flop the boards. The car will start and milage will be the same. This is what I did when I switch gauges. PM me if you want those gauges. Pearl02.

the mileage will interchange. all you have to do is swap the small digital odometer board from one cluster to the other. i have a spare odometer i got from a wrecked car with 40K on it if you need one. it came in my lunar cluster when i bought it off a member on here a couple years back.
