Any quality synth. atf that substitutes for mercon/dextron should work fine.
On the passenger side of the tranny, there are 2 plugs. The lower one is the drain plug; the upper one is the fill plug. I believe they're sized so that the square driver on your ratchet wrench or extension fit right into them. Pull the bottom one and drain - your container will need to hold about 3 qts. Once it's empty, replace the drain plug. They are taper fit so get it good and snug. I put ARP thread sealer/lubricant on mine. To refill you have a few choices. You can use a manual pump (autozone sells them) to pump fluid into the fill hole through a small hose. You can run a small rubber hose into the fill hole, and up into the engine compartment, connect it to a funnel and pour fluid (slowly) into the funnel so it fills the tranny by gravity feed. Or you can remove the shifter and top plate - and fill through the shifter/top plate hole from inside the car. Either way, fill until fluid just begins to come out of the fill plug hole -- it will take about 2.7 qts. Then replace fill plug and shifter if you removed it to fill. Try to jack the car up evenly all the way around. If you just jack up the front, you won't be able to use fluid running out of the fill hole as the guide for when you have enough fluid in the tranny.
