Changing valvebodies

Its easy, but if the old tranny was blown, chance are, friction material, metal, and other stuff has circulated through the vavlebody. The first thing I would do would be to contact a transmission shop and see what the cost would be to have it cleaned. That said, Jack the car up. unbolt the transmission pan, bathe in the transmission fluid (you'll see!) remove the pan, unbolt the filter (3 bolts, 10mm I beleive) Unbolt the vavlebody, 20+ bolts, also 10mm I believe, Lower the vavlebody, making sure not to loose any of the check balls, Make sure the gasket between the tranny and VB comes off. Put the new VB and gasket on in the reverse order, I believe you are supposed to tighen them in a circular order and dont over torque them. While your at it, install a drain plug in the pan, and add an auxillary tranny cooler. Put a new filter and gasket on, dont over torque the pan bolts, only like 12ft lbs, Add 4 qts of tranny fluid and start the car, add 2 more qts and run the car through the gears to make sure it engaging, check fluid level and add as necessary. Not sure, dont know much about that VB. But if its a performance aftermarket VB then yes, the VB should already have the mods from the factory without you having to do any additional drilling or adding springs and such.
