changing wheel studs

how do you replace the wheel studs i cant get them out it looks like there is an abs ring in the way? I need to replace them with 3" studs for wheel spacers!

I would remove the axles so you dont beat the bearings in the axle when pressing new studs in (though it can reportedly be done with the axles in the car. The last ones I did were on a GM and there was no ABS).
