I know everyone is going to say use the search feature noob, but go ahead, copy and paste the same words in the search and you get a bunch crap about mach1 vs 05 and other bs.

I just want to know where are they located? What is better tunning, or actually buying the parts? That is all.

There is plenty of info on this I have posted many threads about this subject. There is lots of info on this forum, just do a search. The plates are located between the cylinder head and the intake manifold. They are a great mod, a very underrated mod at that. I have heard from several different tuners which have different opinions on this mod. Some only get like 3-5hp and the same torque. To me there was much more of a difference in power. I have not had the car dynoed since the install of the plates, but the SOTP feel was definitely noticable. But I do have a full exhuast which helps induction mods anyway. I would recommed this mod to anyone. YOU MUST HAVE A TUNE OR A CUSTOM for the car run right and pick up power.

no use bamachips

I picked up 1.5MPH trap speed at my local 1000' track, so yeah, they are definately a good mod.

Edit: By the way, I was teasing, hence the smiley, both of them are great tuners.

I say that because I have used both tunes from Brenspeed and Bamachips. By far the brenspeed is better.

Thanks guys for all the great feed back.

So I can do it in a tune without having to dig into the motor then? That would be great becaue its gonna be hard for me to do a mod like that given the fact I told the wifey I wouldn't mod the stang.

Why did you say that?
How do you think that is possible?

Should have told her straight up that you are going to put at least another $5,000 into it, and that is a rough estimate to say the least.

I would think it will only cause problems down the line if you don't make it clear early on that this isn't a cheap hobby, and that she should know first off that mods are going to happen.

Get back to me when you have installed Wheels, Tires, Tint, Shifter, Blower/Turbo, Suspension mods, Full exhaust, Body Mods, HID retrofit, rear seat delete, battery relocation,, etc... the list never ends.

Keeping your car stock is harder than selling it.

I have already taken her down that road with my first stang and the z28 I have now. I told her that I would sell the Z, now that I have my new GT and I would give her all the $ out of that, of course I am going to scrape a little off the top to dump into my new money-hole
