By porting and polishing ANY throttle body on its own will result in very little, if any gains. You must polish the throttle body for smoother flow when you port and polish the upper intake. Together, you should notice a difference. I've been meaning to do another write up on "how to" do this since I seem to know what I'm doing when it comes to porting and polishing both throttle bodies and plenums. I once did a write up but it was lost during the Stangnet crash. Hopefully, when I finish with the two plenums and throttle body I'm working on, I'll post some pics so you can see what they look like and I'll include a "how to" write up.

I am trying to decide on a mid pipe. Since I already have an SLP Loudmouth CatBack system I am thinking about going with a SLP catted X, but I just heard a sound clip of a Magnaflow catted X on a SLP Catback system and it sounded SWEET. Any advice?

Two big positive with the SLP.

You can get the straight through pipes in addition to the cats and swap them out when you want.

If you decide to upgrade to long tube headers you can take off a section of the SLP's and they will bolt right on.
