Yes the last bit of the build was in my living room. . Hey, you do what you have to do.

Here are few of the details:

Accel DFI Throttle Body: 1250CFM (I don't believe it though)
super victor efi intake
60lb injectors
ported victor jr heads
scat 9000 stroker crank
eagle h rods
proble flat top pistons

I measured it at 10.8:1 Compression

I will be using the LS1 coil packs. I am waiting for a milled piece to get back to hold the coils and I plan to do a nice weld onto the valve covers to hold the coil packs.

For the ignition I am using a vipec v44 ECU. (I used to be the electronics lead on a university SAE program so this is one I really enjoyed)

The "distributor" is a msd oil plug with a hall effect sensor for my sync signal and I have a msd trigger wheel on my balancer.

I don't know what it can do for HP. It will obviously deliver a more powerful spark at higher rpms because each coil fires once per revolution(I am runing wasted spark) instead of four times when you have one coil. The big thing I like about it is the tunibility when teamed with a good ECU. For example if I decide to put Nitrous on this engine I can have it set then when nitrous is injected it will use a secondary map with a "retarded" ignition.

So for HP it may help expecially at higher RPM but probably not that much. Tuiblity is why I love it, and it is so much cleaner without a distributor. With no disributor there is a possiblity for some VERY interesting forced induction setups..

It is a very nice device. It started with Motec then from that a company formed with a product called Autronic. The autronic line has now turned into this Vipec which I think is very comparable to the Motec. Very nice. The nice thing is it is much cheaper. I can only speak for here in Alberta, Canada but Autronic was about 2800 and the Vipec v44 is about 1600CAD.

I think the headers are going to be the most work. I am almost positive after I finish with this set the last thing I will feel like doing will be make another. I will post pictures of the header build. I think i have a good plan....I hope

as for the throttle body I do not have a mass air flow sensor. I have a fairly lumpy cam and at idle the overlap can cause pulses of air that make false mass air flow sensor readings. For tuning I will have a wideband running in closed loop, throttle position, and manifold air pressure.

I will start posting more pics of my project if you guys want. i am fairly new to the forums.

I am building the headers for the experience. I have a tig welder at my expense so I am the kind of guy to go down the road less travelled. I have looked at other headers but I told myself I was going to make my own headers. It is going to be tough but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger...I hope.
