Ok on the doorjamb sticker, there's a box at the bottom that says AX. In it there is a letter, here is what the letter means:

M=2.73
E=3.27
Z=3.08

Now i'm not totally positive on this one.I believe there is a way to check what gear ratio is installed without having to remove the pumpkin.First,you'll have to jack up the rear-end (Make sure you block the front wheels both ways).Also,make sure your tranny is in neutral.Start by getting some white-out or anything that makes a bright visible mark.Make a mark on the very bottom of the driveshaft.Now start spinning the wheels slowly by hand.The purpose of this is to count exactly how many times the driveshaft spins for 1 complete wheel revolution.......So say you spin the wheel around one complete turn and stop and you counted that the driveshaft spun about 3 times plus an extra quarter of a spin.Then your gear ratio would most likely be 3.27 .If the driveshaft spun just a notch or so over 4 times then you probably have something around 4.11's .But then again....I think you'd most definately know if 4.11's were installed in that bad pony. It's that simple.

I allready know what's in my 92 5.0 .It's too damn slow to be anything other than 2.73's

Thats what I was going to say also. Its easier if you have someone help you. Get under the car, right under the driveshaft. Have a friend spin the rear tire exactly one revolution and you count the driveshaft turns from under the car.

DING, DING, DING, DING, DING, We have a winner. I was wondering when someone was going to give this info. You probably don't even have to jack the car up. If you can reach the driveshaft with a piece of chalk all you have to do mark the tire and DS, bend down and watch the DS spin while someone rolls the car one tire revolution.
