How can I tell the difference in American and Chinese made intakes? Are the Chinas worth it. I am looking at one used for 200.00 Is this a good price?

$200 for a used Chinobra is good...only if the following.
The previous owner has done the port/polish already or you have the tools and time to do it yourself.

The Chinobra intake comes in absolute horrid shape and needs to be worked considerably before putting it on the engine.

I had the tools and time and worked mine into a slick as glass state inside the runners. I had to get mine from BOI on ebay for like $385 so $200 isnt that bad if you understand what you are getting.

I have no experience with the Factory Cobra intake, but if it is factory then I would imagine it would have been in better shape than the chinobra version...God I hope so...lol

yeah i'd like to know the difference too. i think i have an original 93 cobra intake/injectors/tb setup on my car but i'm not 100% positive. the guy i got the setup from said it was. are there any obvious differences to look for?

The big tip off is the "Ford Racing" emblem by the throttle body. That, along with the t-stat housing not having the relief for the distributor are the two visual clues to look for.

Here's a pic of the Chinese POS.

I have one on my car and wouldn't recommend it based on the overall lack of quality. Now that it's on the car it is fine, but it was a PITA to deal with.
