chip help

just got my jet chip for my 98 gt vert auto....bought it off a guy who had it in his 98 gt vert auto...was in perfect condition......disconnected the positive to the batt and put it in...everything works fine but idk if i feel any power diff.....should i wait and drive it a lil more to let the computer learn it or do i have to get it tuned?.....ps - have a cai and exhaust done as well as the previous owner did....

off the shelf chips usually don't do much for cars. they may have adjusted the shift points and played with the timing a bit, but don't expect anything big from the chip.

Shoulda got a DYNO tune with SCT custom 4 bank chip......
