Chips, 4.10's, T-Locks OH MY!! help!

Hey i just got my first mustang and i love it... going from a 4 banger civic to a v6 is definetly a power boost for me and i love it. Its a lot more comfortable too i love it!

Anyways i have some questions regarding these common upgrades people are doing and i have read about but i dont quite understand them

Chips, 4.10's, and T-Locks ( i guess they increase acceleration? )

What exactly are they?

What do they do?

What are some good brands?

How does tuning a Chip work?

Pro's vs. Con's?

Approximate power increase?

Overall benefit?

I realize this could be a long answer but please help me out at much as possible.

What exactly are they? 4:10's are gears.A chip is a chip.Tloc is limited-slip differential.

What do they do? 4:10's greatly improve accleration.A chip can add hp/tq,bump timing,improve shifting etc.Tloc gives better traction.

What are some good brands?Ford racing sells good gears.As far as a chip there is Jet,Diablo,superchips etc...

How does tuning a Chip work? Not difficult at all.

Pro's vs. Con's?Pro's-faster car.Con's for gears decreased topend and gas mileage.

Approximate power increase?Gears none.Tloc none.Chip,not much for a stock car maybe 10-15 hp.

Overall benefit?A better faster car that is more fun to drive.Especially with those 4:10's.
