Hey everbody, I'm currently in the middle of a project and was curious what i have to look forward to when its completed. I have a '91 Mustang GT that was bone stock except for the CAI and flowmasters. anyhoo. I had blown a head gasket and was in the middle of replacing it and got a wild hair and this is what i'm planning on doing. going with an E303 cam. going back in with ARP head studs, Porting stock heads (also putting in new seals and reseating the valves). Putting in an exporer intake and to finish i want to put some long tube headers on it. I'm not expecting a 10 second car or anything close to that just was curious how much over stock i should be expecting. Does this sound like a good setup for a daily driver? Thanks for your advice in advance

You'll probably pick up about 40fwhp and run solid low-14's with it. Those parts are good for a nice boost, but don't expect to shave amything close to a full second off of your ET's. Driveability should be as good as it was stock.

I think drive ability will be as good as stock, but I dont think it will be the same. With the cam and gears it will feel like you are driving a different car. Thats a good thing though, you will enjoy it.

You could run mid 13's with that combo, I've done it.

Ha, he should go faster than 14s if he has all his ducks in a row. I'd say 13s if he can drive and the car has supporting mods... And if the heads are ported properly. 12s if he can REALLY drive and the car has gears, slicks and skinnies, etc.

Ok, so i'm gonna sound like a noob here (Cuz i am so heckle if you will) but what would supporting mods be? larger Mass air and injectors? bigger fuel pump? timing advance? to give you an idea this car was a bone stock california car until the gasket blew. from top to bottom. so i'm just making sure i'm not leaving anything out.
