Oh and every licensed driver in the house needs their own daily driver registered to them. Might be an issue when it comes to teens just getting their license and not having a car.

The way it was explained to me was that if you stop where you leave the car, it's open to theft/hit-and-run/etc. At least if you stop for gas you'll only get carjacked.
I've now spoken with Grundy, American Collectors and Hagerty. Both American Collectors and Hagerty told me they expected the car to be driven for fun, and if I used it to drive to Home Depot or Lowe's or something similiar, that was OK. Hagerty is $200/year higher than American Classic.I did a Google search for ratings for classic auto insurers, and Grundy got good marks. Grundy doesn’t set a mileage limit, different from the others.
American Collectors Insurance called earlier today to go over their quote. I asked to bump the personal liability to $250/$500K and asked for a $500 deductible. That took the annual to $712 for the $40K agreed value. I need to call Grundy.

There is no annual milage restriction, no usage restrictions other than being a vehicle for hire and racing. The Only other requirement is having another separately insured “regular use vehicle”. Very straight forward stuff…..
I had Erie insurance for years. When the VA upped my disability rating the insurance company wanted me to jump through a bunch of hoops to prove to them I could drive. Canceled and switched to farmers.Erie (if you are in one of the states they cover) will do stated value at a reasonable amount without having to carry two policies.

State Farm was my initial course of action, but they wouldn't go more that $23K agreed value, and that wasn't ewnough.I have agreed value with State Farm in South Carolina, it's a little steep but my daughter came off my policy last year so it's still cheaper ! Agent said if I register car as an antique with the DMV the rate drops a lot. I guess because they have similar restrictions on usage ...
Screw that huh? I could register mine as an antique in PA and save a lot of jumping through hoops for inspection and what not, but it limits how much I can drive it. My dodge had antique plates in Oregon when I lived there. I never had a problem driving my car.. Rules are made to be " bent ".... In Oregon they are a one time purchase so its a great deal... When I moved to Florida I never took em off and drove it all over here with em on it.... Saved thousands in registration fees..Screw that huh? Here in Ontario Canada, you are legally supposed to change your drivers license and the registration within 30 days of moving to the province. Consequences and fines if caught.When I moved to Florida I never took em off and drove it all over here with em on it.... Saved thousands in registration fees..

I did change my drivers license and all of my other cars were licensed in Florida...
