Just wondering how many of you guys who have weekend drivers carry the classic insurance which upon just inquiring about it, is a nice nice nice deal annually and much much cheaper. I only drive mine on weekends and once I get my new GMC I won't even drive the stang every weekend. So just wondering what's you guys advice on it if you ever tried it, pro's/con's , advantages/disadvantages, ect.

Yes ,it is worth it .I had it on my 66 fast back. $300 a year would get me $15,000 if something happened to it.
And it covered fire ,theft ,uninsured motorist,It was even covered if a tree fell on it. I could only drive 2500 miles a year but they stopped limiting the mileage after the first year.

cool sounds good

Ummm . . . State Farm standard "full coverage" for my '65 is . . . $17 a month . . . pretty good deal, I think?

What they do is go off the NADA prices, SO, given my options, I think the "normal" value is between $16k and $25k so a fender bender isn't going to "total" my car.

For me, at least, standard full coverage from State Farm is a great deal.

yeah well see my car was a v6 originally and the value on that car is at most 3500 in excellent condition. Talking to some agents, the car would be classed as a v6 still and the only way I would be able to carry it as an 8 would be probably to use the classic insurance which would allow for a car to have had modifications with engines and stuff from what I understand

I had my 92 covered through Haggerty was a few hundy a year. They had some limitations but they didn't ask for proof of miles or anything.

I could have gone with my normal insurance but they would have valued it at a couple thousand.

I had a stated coverage of 14k on it. Helped my agent was a friend and was able to get me the policy.

I knew I should have totaled it instead of selling it for 6k LOL
