Classic Owners who also have Fox 'Stangs - Ideas on brake updates

I am working on parts 3 & 4 of the "Whoa-ing Your Pony" articles for Hemmings Mustang Market & Tech Gude Magazine. The first two parts covered the Classic years, now I am working on the Fox-Chassis Ponies. You guys came through great last time, so I am asking again for ideas.

Both Front & Back, what upgrades did you do? I alsready have the Mk VII Calipers & Rotors on the front, and Conversion to 5-Lug axles and SN-95 non-Cobra rear disc brakes covered. Tell me your upgrades, and post a pic if possible. I always try to use members from here, as I have done so many times in the past.

dan, i have a fairmont wagon(the forefather to the fox mustangs) and have yet to upgrade the brakes, but i have a few ideas;
1: since i have an 80 model, i would need to upgrade to 87-93 mustang spindles(the V8 ones as the 4 cylinder cars used smaller front brakes) and run 11" front brake rotors with front calipers from a police package crown vic to get the larger 73mm piston amde of metal, and then use 87-88 tbird turbo coupe rear disc brakes.

2: convert to sn95 spindles and the obligatory 8.8" rear, and use the massive cobra brakes front and rear.

There isn't much that can be done.

sn-95 spindles with either the gt 12" rotors or the cobra 13" ones.

keep the spindles you have and do the 73mm brake caliper upgrade.

or Buy a Bear brake kit.

Sn-95 gt rear brakes that are non vented 11" rotors or the cobra vented 11.65 rear rotors. both require different mounting brackets.

Lincoln rear brakes big vented ones. cheaper than cobra ones and seem more beefy. Pad contact is way bigger. 11.65 rotors

or again Bear brakes for the rear


5 lug conversion are

lincoln rotors which don't allow the use of certain type of rims because of the hub.
Well you can use them but you won't have a center cap . Used on the SVO mustang.

Or the Sn-95 brake components.

For the rear you can use a drivers side bronco II or ranger axle which is 29" inches long. Or the passengers side on an aerostar van. I don't remember the years right now thought that can be used. 28 spline of course.
