Clean 04 Mach 1 bare aluminum valve covers?

The valve covers on my Mach 1 I just picked up look sort of oxidized I guess you would call it. I dont want to use steel wool and scratch it but I would like to know if anyone has had the same problem and knows how to clean them or if anyone has any idea on what would work on them.

Aluminum polish. Get it in parts store or walmart.

All the '04 Mach valve covers oxydize like that. I used a very mild scrubbing pad, which worked ok, but it'll just come back, along with dirt also. I ditched my stock valve covers and coil covers and got Ford Racing valve covers and coil covers. A good amount of the stock parts in the engine bay I threw out years ago and got better looking stuff.
