cleaning filler prior to prime question

I am using Rage Gold and Evercoat glazing puddy. I've read that wax/oil surface cleaner will absorb into filler. If this is this case how do I clean the areas I put filler on prior to priming my car? Also, once I prime can I use surface cleaner on the primer?

I just blow it off and tack it than prime. I use SPI waterborne wax and grease remover after it has been primed and sanded again.
