cleaning roller lifters ?

I am not sure if this is a stupid question or not but I am hoping that I didn't mess these lifters up. I put a set of used roller lifters in a can of laquer thinner to clean them and let them soak for a few days. Will this do any damage to them? Thanks

It won't hurt them . Just be sure to dry them well with compressed air and then immediately put them in a can of motor oil and let them soak for a while. Don't let them set with no oil on them or they will rust very quickly.
