Cleaning up the headlights?

Well im about to go at them with 2000 grit. It was either start with the fine stuff, or start with the rough stuff. So I bought the 2000 grit... im just gonna wetsand and polish, if it gets some of the crap off ill be happy.

I still want smoked headlights though, lol... and a Mach chin spoiler... and FR-500's... and my "GT" stripes back on the hood...

But the 200 bucks towards headlights could be the purchase of a short throw, or a set of gears, or midpipe...

Im starting to not like having a car that is so moddable... Only so many things you could do with my other one, haha.

Done.

It took ALL of the old crap off of the lenses. It looked like milk when I was sanding it, then it got hazy... and I didnt have any rubbing compound that wasnt dried up and a few years old, haha. I used a brass polish that was plastic safe, and it did alot, but I think theres room to improve with a rubbing compound a buffer... I did this by hand. Theres definatly a big improvment, now its just a little bit hazy but no crap on the lights.

Stuff needed...

Water: Free
A few sheets of 2000 grit sandpaper: 3-4 bucks
Polish of choice: A few more bucks, or free if you allready have it.

So yeah, under 10 bucks for a better look.
