ok my 87 gt has become harder to shift in pretty much all gears. just seems like first is the worst though. it gets easier when i brace myself and shove like crazy on the clutch pedal. also its gotten to where i'm having a hell of a time getting into reverse without it barking at me. used to be i could just play with it a little by maybe shifting into a different forward gear and then try reverse again and presto. i changed over to a tko 500 with centerforce clutch bout a year ago. stock cable and quadrant. i've tried adjusting clutch pedal by holding it down and lettin it pop up to take out slack. notta. i'm thinkin maybe i should try new billet quadrant and firewall adjuster. since i can't visibly see any problems withe the cable i probly could go ahead and get another stock cable. seems like i've read someplace they stretch over time. several people have told me that the adjustable cables kinda suck and to stick with ford oem cable. jump in here any time guys if i'm off base cause i really haven't done messed with this stuff before. i saw a website some time ago that looked promising. it had all the parts i'm wanting but i lost the bookmark. it showed comparison pics between aftermarket and stock cables. they favored stock cable with their custom fabricated steel quadrant. i know thats pretty vague but thats bout all i remember bout it. anybody know that site or could recommend one that can hook me up?
