clutch cable?

ok, well, i have about 3k on a ram king cobra. love the cobra clutch. except the pedal stiffness. the first week and a half it was in, it was perfect, the pedal felt like butter and wasnt all stiff. now it is. it's not hard to press or anything, it's just not as easy and as smooth as it was the first week the install was done. :damnit: what's wrong? could my cable be old and worn out? it's a 97 gt with 131k miles. any suggestions would be great. thanx.

It could be. Its some extra work for you but maybe pull your cable off and take it completely out of the car and put some "tri flow" or WD40 type stuff in the cable. And hold the cable up and down and put it in there and make it run out of the bottom, then you know its good and lubed. If that makes sense. If you want to buy a new one, send me an email [email protected]. I've got an extra one. I'd like to get rid of it, I've got WAYYY too much stuff in the garage :(
