What's your thoughts on swapping only the clutch disc? I have a RAM clutch with about 10k miles on it, and I'm considering going with a t56 which req's a 26 spline count. I don't mind being a little cheap this time because eventually I will have to replace the flywheel and go with a different clutch entirely when I go with a forged shortblock.

I will yank the fly wheel, have it turned, and swap the disc with the 26 spline ram equivalent. Does anyone foresee any issues with this? Thanks.

Wow. I guess stangnet is going downhill for people that are still 'followers' of the new edge mustangs. I suppose I should trade my car in and get an s550 just to fit in... Lol.

As much as I'd like to sell the car and get a boss or a Shelby, I can't do it. I have to much sentimental value in it. I would rather make coyote owners cringe when my stupid old 2v eats them alive.

Check 1. T56 2.97 ratio
Check 2. Fully built rear
Check 3. Return fuel sys
Check 4. Mmr 1000 stroker sb in a boss block w/ tf heads @ 9.8 comp ratio to accomodate my lil 2.1 kb.

Sorry. Missed your question. As long as the pressure plate looks OK I don't think you'd have issues.
No, not many NE followers anymore. You on "Mod Motor Mustangs" on FB. Its quite active. Just don't say MMR.

Thanks for the reply. I don't do FB though. I will talk to d&d about a clutch disc.

I take it there isn't much love for mmr? I haven't heard anything negative about them.

re the clutch disc. Assuming the pressure plate and flywheel surfaces are flat you'd probably be okay. I'd take a Scotch brite attachment on a drill and lightly deglaze the flywheel and pressure plate surfaces to rough them up a bit and to remove as much of the old disc's material as possible.

When I get around to swapping in a TKO, I plan on doing the same thing as long as the clutch is still in good working condition. Mine is Spec clutch though. I don't think there should be any issue. Like was stated prior, clean up the flywheel and inspect the pressure plate. Take 500 miles for clutch break in and I can't imagine there would be any problems.
