I noticed the other day when i would stomp on the gas in second gear, the car would rev up to about 5k and then come back down to about 4k before really pulling (such as the clutch slipping). i have a firewall adjust clutch cable and i turned it clockwise completely untill it stopped at the firewall, but the clutch is still doing the same thing.. is this a red flag for a fried clutch?

thanks

great.. not exactly what i wanted to hear lol, i just didn't know if their was another way to fine adjust it or anything.. its werid because i don't even get the faint smell of the clutch burning either

check the actual clutch adjustment from under the car. make sure the cable is not holding the throw out bearing on the pressure plate. if not you have a clutch slipping from a worn clutch or a rear main seal prob. the rear main seal will leak and work its way to saturate the pressure plate with oil.
