Hey Guys,

Well its time for the clutch and I was wondering what you guys would recomend for a racing clutch. I also want to throw 4.10 gears in it but not sure on which ones. I have an '84 5.0 Mustang with intake and exaust Recommedations??

Thanks in advance,

Kevin D

I'm very happy with this clutch.
Pedal effort is light, modulation is linear.
Chatter'd some when new, felt line an on/off switch, but not at all after some street miles.... aka modulation is linear.
My wife likes it better than the stock clutch it replaced.
Installed it, went straight to the track, launched at 6000 on slicks all night, no issues whatsoever... non of this 500 street miles bs that some manufacturers hide behind.
I've beat mine up, and a friend has gone 1.3x 60 foots with 10.3x 1/4 mile times on same clutch... without issue.
Hard to beat the price for such a performer.
I'd definatly buy another.

If not Hays, I'd look into McLeod.

Good luck.

84 would need a 10" clutch correct? The link cleanLX posted won't work then. Maybe try ddperformance.com for a clutch.

I'll be running a mcleod dual friction disk and a FMD blueprinted HD pressure plated. Its modified to handle over 450hp and high rpm :D

I personally wouldn't get 4:10's for a daily driver if I were you but if that is what you want go for it:nice:

cleanlx seemed to have a nice clutch setup there...you probably don't need something with that much holding power but if you want go for it to:nice:
