I'm a little agrivated right now.
I just got done putting my car back together after installing a new Spec II clutch/ pressure plate/ release bearing and started my car up.

-First off the clutch pedal doesnt feel nearly as hard as I expected it to feel.
-It wont release the clutch so it'll just grind if I try to put it in gear with the pedal to the floor.
-and theres also a ticking sound like some metal banging. give it more gas and ticking goes faster.

Any ideas what I could have done wrong? Or what the problem could be.

I believe I did everything right as it was pretty straight forward but I could have overlooked something I guess.

Please help and dont tell me I have to take it all apart again cause that would just suck ass...

For the noise: Have you installed every bearing(2)? (The one that push on your pressure plate, and the other one in the little hole where your shaft goes in?)

For the clutch: You can adjust it.. just look at the up side of your clutch pedal..

Do these answers help a little bit?

I installed the piolet bearing and the release bearing. It actually didnt have a piolet bearing on it when I took it out.

As for the noise I believe it is just a small engine noise that was amplified because I have the car in the garage. In other words I think it was there before I started.

I belive my only issue now is that the clutch cable is not adjusting properly and therfore not releasing the clutch. I'm going to try and put in a firewall adjuster and keep the stock self adjusting quadrant in place for now as that is a real bitch to change. If that solves the problem I'll run it like that and eventually get another quadrant.

Anyone have a firewall adjuster sitting around that they are not using and want to get rid of?

I really hope that solves the problem as I hate doing jobs twice.
