Clutch noise

I was hoping I might be able to get some help with diagnosing an irritating squeeking noise coming from the cluth when you release the pedal. If youre sitting in neutral with your foot off the clutch, there is a faint belt like squeek coming from the clutch. Its not a constant squeek, instead its in intervals and the intervals become more frequent proportional to increases in RPM. If you put your foot on the clutch pedal and push it just far enough to put tension on the cable the squeek goes away. However lift your foot off and it comes back. It does it while I'm cruising too and goes away during shifts. The performance of the car is sound. there is no faults or differences in the operation. I was just hoping anyone might have experienced this before and could give me some insight. I really appreciate it

Thanks

You can adjust the stock quadrant mechanism to put more tension on the TOB to keep it quiet. That's what I have done and my TOB has been nice and quiet with no ill effects otherwise. Do a search for my posts as I have listed how to adjust it (it's easy).

You could also swap out the stock quadrant with an aftermarket quadrant and firewall adjuster to to the same thing.

Hey thanks Ajax_02GT,
That worked brilliantly. I can't believe how easy that was. I should have done it sooner.
I appreciate all your help

No problem, glad it worked out. :) I bought a Steeda quadrant and firewall adjuster to take care of the problem but haven't installed them yet because the "free" adjustment has worked so well.
