Does anybody know if there are varying degrees of clutch pack rebuild kits. i.e. - Heavy duty kits with more discs to beef up the traction-lock for more posi-track like performance, etc., or are they all pretty cut and dry from Summit or Jegs?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not positive, but I think that all the kits are basicly the same. You can make the possy stiffer by getting as many clutch disks in as possible, but if you try to many you might not be able to get the spring back in.

When I rebuilt mine, it was a PITA to get the spring in, I had to use a vise grip to close it up as much as possible and a hammer to drive it in.

Most of the kits are the plates and steels, and the shims. I used a Ford kit from Holcomb Motorsports.

After doing this, the shims were very important. With the correct shims, you can get it back together without hammering, etc....
